Occupy Student Debt publishes free money guides. You do not need an account to read them, and the site does not currently offer a contact form, comments, or a newsletter.

Information created when you visit

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may process basic request data so it can send the site to your browser, protect the service, and diagnose problems. That data can include an IP address, time, page address, browser details, and the page that referred you. The AMP runtime is loaded from Google’s AMP content delivery network, so your browser also makes a request to that service.

Cookies and analytics

We do not currently set our own analytics, advertising, or account cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy before using the new tool.

Links to other sites

Articles link to banks, lenders, apps, public agencies, and other resources. Those sites set their own privacy rules. Check their policies before you give them personal or financial information.

Editorial tools, bylines, and images

AI tools may assist with research organization, drafts, text checks, or illustrations. Important claims are tied to current sources. We do not use AI to invent product tests or personal experiences.

Maya Brooks is an editorial pen name used for consistent authorship. Her profile image is an illustration, not a photograph of a real person.

Possible affiliate links

The site does not currently rely on affiliate links. We may add them later. If we do, we may earn a commission when a reader takes an action through a marked link, at no added cost to the reader. We will label material relationships near affected content and update this policy.

How long data is kept

We keep no reader account database. Hosting and security logs are kept under our provider’s settings and policies. We keep site records only as long as they are useful for security, publishing, or legal needs.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser, avoid sending information to linked sites, or ask us about information tied to you. We may need enough detail to find the record and confirm the request.

Children

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this page when the site’s practices change. The date at the top will show the latest version.
